Edouard Vuillard -
$10.00
This poster depicts two panels in a nine panel series by Edouard Vuillard entitled "The Public Gardens".  Edouard Vuillard's synthesis approach of impressionistic and post-impressionistic styles was deeply influenced by painter Paul Gauguin.  Vuillard belonged to a group of art students, the Nabis, who closely followed Gauguin.  The left panel is titled "Little Girls Playing" and the right is dubbed "The Examination".  Panels like these were considered apartment pieces, which Vuillard was frequently commissioned for (Wikipedia, 2010).
