What is Ripstopper technology?
Ripstopper technology is a combination of mechanical and chemical engineering processes that result in enhanced weave strength and greater durability. These enhancements mean that our heavy duty tarp is designed to resist damage. If the heavy duty tarp suffers a small puncture, it will resist tearing even if stressed or left in the wind.
Reinforced corners
Our heavy duty tarp features reinforced rubberized corner with a patented 3 rivet design, which helps to create a strong anchor point for fastening your tarp to a desired surface. Many tarps don't have this kind of protection, which is why they won't last as long under stress.
Polycarbonate grommets
Most tarps feature aluminum grommets, which are of moderate strength. Our heavy duty tarp features polycarbonate grommets, which do not rust, and are 3 times stronger than aluminum grommets. A tarp only needs one weak point in order to be ineffective, and you won't find that in our premium quality grommets.
