John Muir Poster

John Muir was one of the first advocates of wilderness preservation int he US.  Over the course of his life, Muir wrote several books and essays about his experiences in nature.  This led to the establishment of such parks as Yosemite and Sequoia National Park.  He founded the Sierra Club, which is an important nature conservation organization in the US (Wikipedia, 2010).
